Donate Cryptocurrency to Help Suffering Children

Cryptocurrency has received a lot of media coverage over the last couple of years. Cryptocurrency or “crypto” is a digital currency that functions as an alternative to US dollars, otherwise known as fiat currency. Fiat currency is a government-issued currency backed by a government instead of a physical commodity (i.e., gold). Alternatively, cryptocurrency is completely digital and comes in many different types.

The two most popular cryptocurrencies are Bitcoin and Ethereum. Bitcoin was first created in 2009, Ethereum in 2015. Thousands of cryptocurrencies have been created since then. According to one survey, 16% of Americans have invested in, traded, or used cryptocurrency.[1]

Did you know that you can donate cryptocurrency to deliver hope to suffering children?

Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF) now accepts crypto donations with help from our partner, Engiven. Engiven supports 39 different types of crypto, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETC), and Dogecoin (DOGE).

Donations of crypto are fast, secure, and convenient. You can quickly transfer crypto from your digital wallet to CHF, and Engiven will exchange your crypto donation for US dollars. CHF can use these funds to provide meals and other needed resources to children and families in need around the world.

In addition, Crypto donations are tax-deductible, and the IRS treats these donations as property (i.e., stock). Therefore, depending on your situation, you may be able to avoid capital gains and receive a larger tax deduction for crypto that has increased in value. So make a difference in the lives of children in need by donating cryptocurrency to Children’s Hunger Fund.
