Rosie is a single mother living in Kampala, Uganda. She works as a hairdresser and owns a shop in the community of Kawempe. She is blessed with a career she loves and a decent, stable income to provide for her children.
Once a victim of abuse, Rosie’s life was characterized by poverty, hopelessness, and violence, mostly at the hands of her husband.
When the pastor of a local church came to her door with an offering of food, Rosie was skeptical. The pastor continued to visit her, delivering food and sharing the gospel with Rosie and her two sons.
Today, Rosie not only owns her own salon, but she is able to help train other women to be hairdressers.
More importantly, she has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and she helps share the hope of the gospel with other people in her community by participating in the Food Pak ministry. Rosie’s greatest passion is to help other vulnerable women experiencing the same hopelessness she once faced.
Change does not happen overnight, and relationships take time to grow. As a Hope Partner, you can provide consistent support to churches like the one that made an impact in Rosie’s life. Set up a recurring donation today to help deliver hope!
Your monthly gift helps provide consistent support to our church partners and the suffering children they serve around the world. With your faithful generosity, families can receive a regular source of food that is hand-delivered by our church partners.
With each Food Pak delivered, a suffering child can hear the message of hope found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
“With my work schedule and other commitments, I couldn’t always volunteer. Then I became aware of how financially responsible and efficient CHF is with their monetary donations and giving became a different tool for me to be involved and help. CHF has provided a way to make an impact, in not only providing meals, but also being the hands and feet of Jesus, in a way that I would never be able to do on my own.”
“Being involved with CHF has been a humbling reminder of how the Lord has blessed me, and that He has called me to serve others with what I have. It has been encouraging to see and hear about the people CHF are ministering to through churches around the globe, and it has encouraged me to see the global body of Christ work to spread the gospel.”
“Over the years, I have volunteered, walked through Poverty Encounter, read newsletters, and talked to workers at CHF. These experiences have reminded me of the continued need of people, the faithful work of CHF, the provision of the Lord, and the spiritual growth that churches around the world are going through.”
