A Learning Opportunity
Your Students Won’t Forget

Give your class a new perspective on poverty.

Learn how you and your students can make a difference with this interactive experience for all ages.

Poverty Encounter is a 75-minute tour led by knowledgeable facilitators. Your school group will visit four countries and hear the stories of real kids in need. After the tour, you will participate in a service opportunity to prepare meals for kids like the ones you just met.

More than a tour, Poverty Encounter is an educational experience that will open your students’ eyes to global poverty and challenge them to think differently about how other people live around the world.

about our school tours

Poverty Encounter can accommodate any size homeschool, public school, or private school group with students in grades PreK through college! This immersive and educational field trip will open your students’ eyes to living conditions worldwide, and each group will have an opportunity to serve those in need.

A Note for Educators:
The scope of Poverty Encounter is intended to provide guests with an introduction to the realities of children living in poverty and a biblical response to poverty, as well as an opportunity to take action to help those in need. Questions related to issues outside the intended scope (for example, politics, environmental concerns, etc.) will be referred to the teacher or school leadership.
