“The fact that we’re seeing real kids telling their stories was the most powerful thing because it’s putting it into context that this isn’t just affecting adults—it’s affecting children.”
– Alex H., Associate Minister
engage your church
Give yourself a new perspective on poverty and mobilize your church to make a difference with this interactive experience for all ages.
Poverty Encounter is a 75-minute tour led by knowledgeable facilitators. Your group will visit four countries and hear the stories of real kids in need. After the tour, you will participate in a time of service to prepare meals for kids like the ones you just met.
Even more than a tour, Poverty Encounter is an opportunity to develop hearts of compassion and service within your congregation. Your church will see how it can make a difference in the lives of those in need by responding not only to their physical needs but also sharing the hope of the gospel with them.
about our church tours
