Terms and Conditions
Refund Policy
Poverty Encounter tickets are non-refundable; however, they are transferrable if notification is provided via email or phone at least 24 hours in advance of the ticketed arrival time. Email info@povertyencounter.org or call (818) 979-7090 to notify Poverty Encounter staff of any changes. Guests have 60 days from the date on the original ticket(s) to reschedule their tour. After 60 days, the tickets are non-transferrable.
Ticket Use, Transfer, and Resale Policy
Poverty Encounter tickets are issued for educational and charitable purposes and are intended solely for use by the original purchaser or their invited guests.
Prohibited Resale
Tickets may not be resold, offered for resale, auctioned, or transferred for value through any third‑party marketplace or reseller. Any ticket that is resold or offered for resale in violation of this policy is void and may be denied entry without refund.
Invalid Third‑Party Purchases
Children’s Hunger Fund does not authorize the sale of tickets through third‑party resale websites. Tickets purchased from unauthorized sellers cannot be verified and entry is not guaranteed.
Permitted Transfers
Tickets may be transferred only in accordance with Poverty Encounter policies and only when permitted through our official ticketing platform, currently powered by ShowClix (now part of Leap Event Technology). Approved transfers may require advance notice and verification and must comply with all posted deadlines and requirements.
Enforcement
Children’s Hunger Fund reserves the right to cancel or invalidate tickets obtained in violation of these terms, to refuse admission, and to take other appropriate action to protect the integrity of the Poverty Encounter experience and its charitable mission.
Late Arrivals
Poverty Encounter staff will attempt to accommodate individuals and/or groups that arrive late and miss their tour time. If the daily schedule and Poverty Encounter guest capacity permits, late arrivals may be offered a later tour time for that same day. If a tour time is not available, we reserve the right to uphold the terms of the refund policy that states tickets are non-refundable.
Payment Methods
Poverty Encounter accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Private group sales include cash and check payment options.
