Despite scarce water, meager subsistence farming, and the inability to pay school fees, God uses the Vhiriri Baptist Union church to bring regular food deliveries, the blessing of the gospel, and even a new field for farming, as these families begin attending church, singing in the choir, and learning Scripture together.

In the village of Buhera in eastern Zimbabwe, families like Arani Chuma’s and Tanya Mugabe’s face crushing poverty, disease, and even the shadow of death as they struggle to secure water, food, and school fees for their children. Yet, through the faithful service of our church partners at Vhiriri Baptist Union and the generosity of supporters, regular Food Pak deliveries and the hope of the gospel are bringing light into this difficult reality, leading to professions of faith, new fields for farming, and families who are now on the verge of graduating from the program. At Children’s Hunger Fund, we rejoice to see God making the impossible possible as local churches in Zimbabwe and around the world deliver food and eternal hope to children in need.
