PROSPER, TX – With 23 Fortune 500 companies and nearly $800 billion in annual GDP, the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex ranks among the top five U.S. cities for corporate headquarters and economic power. It’s a region defined by rapid growth, innovation, and expanding opportunity—but prosperity doesn’t reach everyone equally.
Amid this momentum, Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF) is expanding its reach, ensuring families facing hardship aren’t left behind. On May 2, the organization broke ground on an 85,000-square-foot volunteer complex in Prosper, slated to open in 2026. The facility will serve as a resource hub, community center, and home to the award-winning Poverty Encounter Experience, an immersive educational exhibit on global poverty.
While North Texas experiences unprecedented growth, the gap between prosperity and need continues to widen. CHF’s presence in the region is a direct response to that reality, ensuring that as the skyline rises, so does compassion. But addressing hunger takes collaboration—and partnerships like CHF’s alliance with Chorbie, a North Texas-based home services company, help strengthen the mission.
Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Frisco, Chorbie provides lawn care, pest control, and an array of other home services, but its commitment extends beyond home maintenance. Dedicated to giving back, Chorbie partnered with CHF to help meet the growing needs of North Texas.
I am proud to be aligned and partnered with Children’s Hunger Fund as they continue to bring food to those in need and awareness to poverty both in our local communities here in North Texas but also on a global scale,” Chorbie’s Chief Executive Officer E.J. McCoy shared.
Business becomes a force for good when generosity is built into its foundation—and Chorbie has embraced that mission. In March alone, after completing 9,463 jobs, the company fulfilled its pledge to provide one meal per job, supplying nearly 10,000 meals to children in need, proving that generosity is most powerful when woven into everyday work.
CHF’s simple but powerful model makes helping easy—just 25 cents can provide a meal for a child. These meals arrive through Food Paks, boxes filled with nutritious food and essential aid, distributed directly to families by local churches and volunteers.
Today, CHF serves 18 U.S. states and 33 countries worldwide. With more than 750 million meals distributed and over $2 billion in gifts-in-kind delivered as of 2024, the organization is positioned for even greater impact through its North Texas expansion, which aims to distribute 5 million meals annually to children in need.
The partnership with Chorbie, rooted in a shared commitment to community, continues to grow. Month after month, the company’s pledge translates into thousands of meals for children facing hunger.
Every job completed fuels CHF’s mission, turning home services into acts of generosity. Chorbie proves that business and giving can go hand in hand, helping to restore dignity, provide meals, and bring hope to North Texas families. It’s more than a service. It’s a movement—rooted in purpose and powered by community.
