CAPITAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE
With God’s grace, faithful partners, and careful preparation, Children’s Hunger Fund is entering a long-anticipated season of growth. That vision is becoming tangible through the development of a new community hub and volunteer center in Prosper, Texas, a project many have prayerfully supported from the beginning.
This facility will expand Children’s Hunger Fund’s reach, equipping more churches to serve children and families with food and gospel hope. Built for lasting impact, it will strengthen partnerships and ministry capacity for years to come. The capital campaign continues to move forward, with $21.7M raised of the total goal. A generous donor has already committed a $500,000 challenge gift to inspire additional support for the Prosper project and encourage others to take part in this important season of growth.
In February, the project reached a major milestone with the installation of the first concrete wall panels, officially beginning vertical construction. For the first time, the building’s full outline is visible on site, marking a significant step forward after more than ten years of faithful service in the DFW area. Construction remains on track, with steady progress across key areas of the facility.
Momentum continues to build as community leaders and partners engage with the Prosper project. In the months ahead, churches, businesses, and neighbors will be invited to step into the mission through service and engagement. We are grateful for our partners and trust God for what lies ahead.

INFLUENCE AND IMPACT
Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson, a 2017 graduate of Oaks Christian School, recently partnered with the Rams Football Academy to host a youth football camp for second through eighth graders in California. The camp welcomed both boys and girls and created space for skill development, mentorship, and encouragement.
The day concluded with a hands-on food packing event in partnership with Children’s Hunger Fund, giving participants the opportunity to serve children and families in need. Colby has supported CHF through multiple initiatives, and his continued investment in a gospel-centered mission and his heart for the next generation are a blessing.
OUT IN THE COMMUNITY
Happy America 250 and Celina 150!
In late June, the Children’s Hunger Fund Dallas team spent the evening in Celina at Splash and Blast, one of North Texas’ largest family-focused summer events. With thousands of neighbors gathered, it was a meaningful opportunity to show up, serve, and build relationships in the community surrounding our future Prosper location.
Our team engaged families in conversation, sharing how CHF is already serving North Texas and what is coming to their backyard. Simple moments like handing out Coin Paks and inviting families into future volunteer opportunities opened the door for both awareness and trust.
By the end of the night, hundreds of neighbors connected with us, several new contacts have joined our community of supporters, and many families are starting the next steps to get involved.

A Rainy Day, a Lemonade Stand, and a Generous Gift
Near our Prosper building site, a simple act of curiosity turned into a meaningful act of generosity.
Two young friends, Naisha and Nivaa, had been watching the progress of construction nearby and began to wonder what it was all about. After learning about Children’s Hunger Fund and its mission, they decided they wanted to help in their own way.
So on a gloomy, rainy day, when most people would stay inside, the girls set up a lemonade stand at a local park. Despite the weather, they greeted neighbors with big smiles and determined hearts, raising over $100 to support the work of CHF.
Not long after their lemonade stand, Naisha and Nivaa, along with their moms, stopped by to deliver their donation in person. Cameron Crane had the chance to thank them and give them a quick tour of the site they had been watching for weeks. What began as curiosity had come full circle into connection and generosity.
Their story is a sweet reminder that generosity doesn’t depend on age or circumstance, and that even small beginnings can have a meaningful impact.
CHF ANNOUNCES NEXT CHAPTER OF LEADERSHIP IN NORTH TEXAS
Children’s Hunger Fund is pleased to announce that Michael Richards, Senior Vice President, will be relocating to North Texas this fall to help lead CHF North Texas during an important season of growth and transition.
Michael will guide CHF’s work in North Texas as we close our chapter in Frisco and look ahead with anticipation to what God has in store in Prosper in early 2027. This next step is part of a story that began in San Antonio more than 17 years ago when Michael and his family moved to Texas to open the San Antonio expansion. Through the steady dedication of the San Antonio team, CHF’s work in Texas expanded from one location to two, opening the door for ministry in Dallas and eventually the development of another permanent CHF site in Prosper. The essential work in South Texas will continue with the San Antonio team, which Michael admits he will dearly miss as he transitions to the DFW metroplex.
Michael’s move reflects CHF’s commitment to faithful leadership, strong stewardship, and continued ministry growth. Please join us in praying for Michael and his family as they step into this next chapter.
