Dallas Capital Campaign News: Construction, Community, and Celebration

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE

With God’s grace, faithful partners, and careful preparation, Children’s Hunger Fund is entering a long-anticipated season of growth. That vision is becoming tangible through the development of a new community hub and volunteer center in Prosper, Texas, a project many have prayerfully supported from the beginning.

This facility will expand Children’s Hunger Fund’s reach, equipping more churches to serve children and families with food and gospel hope. Built for lasting impact, it will strengthen partnerships and ministry capacity for years to come. The capital campaign continues to move forward, with $21.7M raised and $18.7M remaining. Each gift fuels a proven approach that serves families with dignity and equips the local church.

In February, the project reached a major milestone with the installation of the first concrete wall panels, officially beginning vertical construction. For the first time, the building’s full outline is visible on site, marking a significant step forward after more than ten years of faithful service in the DFW area. Construction remains on track, with steady progress across key areas of the facility.

Momentum continues to build as community leaders and partners engage with the Prosper project. In the months ahead, churches, businesses, and neighbors will be invited to step into the mission through service and engagement. We are grateful for our partners and trust God for what lies ahead.

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT

In March, impact took shape inside Children’s Hunger Fund’s San Antonio facility as Whataburger Family Members packed more than 700 Food Paks with focus and care. Each box was prepared for delivery through trusted local church partners, ready to place food, dignity, and prayer directly into the hands of families. This unity reflects the heart of CHF’s work. Headquartered in Los Angeles and serving communities across Texas and beyond, CHF partners with churches and businesses to turn compassion into action through proven systems and hands-on service. When companies bring their teams, time, and resources, families are served, churches are equipped, and hope moves forward.

REPORTING AND KEY MILESTONES

This March, Children’s Hunger Fund marked a monumental milestone, 35 years of ministry, with a celebratory banquet at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California. Gathered together to honor three and a half decades of faithfulness, attendees reflected on what God has accomplished through CHF since 1991: more than $2 billion in aid distributed through church partnerships across 33 countries, reaching millions of children with help and hope. This milestone is a testament to the shared commitment of donors, volunteers, staff, and church partners who continue to sustain the mission.

In North Texas, March also marked 10 years of Children’s Hunger Fund serving the Dallas area. Over the past decade, strong relationships have been built with churches and community partners, making this anniversary especially meaningful as preparations continue for the future Prosper facility. March also closed the fiscal year, offering a moment to thank God for His provision and to move forward with gratitude, prayer, and trust for the days ahead.

COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHT

In March, the Children’s Hunger Fund team enjoyed spending time in Prosper, continuing to build relationships in the community we already consider home. CHF Dallas team members first joined neighbors and local leaders at the Raymond Community Park ribbon cutting, celebrating the opening of a space designed for connection.

Soon after, we returned for the P‐Town Throwdown pickleball tournament, where we had fun attending, participating, and representing CHF alongside local teams. Even with cold, windy weather, the day brought great conversations, friendly competition, and new connections. Moments like these allow us to show up for our community, building trust and growing relationships as we prepare for our future facility and the opportunities that lie ahead.
