Astrid

Astrid is ten and lives with her parents and her younger brother in Honduras. In the morning, Astrid and her brother attend school. When they return home, it is to a partially destroyed hut. Built of stakes, adobe, boards, and plastic, their home is not strong enough to survive the harsh winter storms.

Having received very little education, Astrid’s parents struggle to find work that allows them to buy enough food for the day, much less make repairs to their home.

When a pastor from a local church arrives at Astrid’s home with a gift of food and the message of the gospel, hope in Jesus can be found despite her desperate situation.
