Moldova

In the rural village of Uşurei, the Evangelical Baptist Church has become the light of hope in Moldova as Pastor Ivan and his congregation sacrificially care for suffering children, refugees, and local families through gospel-centered mercy ministry. In partnership with Children’s Hunger Fund and Mission Eurasia, this small church near the Moldova–Ukraine border transformed its sanctuary into a shelter, provided meals and supplies to thousands fleeing war, and shone the light of Christ—marked by simple Christmas lights in the darkness—as a living testimony of God’s grace and generosity amidst poverty and conflict.
