We are thankful for you!

The ministry of Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF) depends on faithful partners and friends like you. Your support allows CHF to equip local pastors around the world with the training and resources to reach families in need with food and the gospel message of hope.

For those of you who were able to join us at the 2022 Children’s Hunger Fund President’s Invitational, we hope your weekend was filled with meaningful conversations and a desire to make an impact.

If you were unable to attend, we would love to share some of the experience with you. At this year’s event, it was our goal to share the mission and ministry of CHF and what it means to be a CHF Ambassador. You can find a series of videos that were shared at the event in the Video Theater below.

Whether or not you attended the event, it is our hope and prayer that you would allow God to move in you to make an impact in the lives of suffering children around the world.

Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF) delivers hope to suffering children by equipping local churches for gospel-centered mercy ministry. We distribute aid through three distribution centers in the US—Dallas, San Antonio, and our headquarters in Los Angeles—and through over a thousand local churches in 30 countries around the world.

Because of friends like you, CHF has been able to practice gospel-centered mercy ministry for more than thirty years. Since 1991, 96% of total contributions—over 1 billion dollars in food and other aid—have been distributed through programs serving more than 20 million children across America and around the world.

Giving Opportunities

We know that God’s plans are so much bigger than our own, and we invite you to be a part of God’s plan for the ministry of Children’s Hunger Fund.

Food Pak Program

A Food Pak is a box of nutritious food that can feed a family experiencing food insecurity. These Food Paks are delivered directly to the homes of children and families in need by trained pastors and church volunteers.

Our reach—both domestic and international—is expanding. As our church partners around the world continue to minister to a growing number of children and families in need, we seek to provide them with the resources to meet those needs and establish relationships within their communities.

Mercy Network Church Sponsorship

Children’s Hunger Fund has trained and equipped nearly 2,000 churches around the world to view food distribution as a ministry opportunity to share the gospel with children and families in need. Once these churches are trained, CHF resources them with food, clothing, hygiene items, nutritional supplements, toys, and other humanitarian aid. This system is designed to not only meet the families’ physical needs but also create relational tools to address the issue of spiritual poverty that can only be met through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Where Most Needed

Children’s Hunger Fund is in regular communication with our church partners around the world and are familiar with the needs in those areas. When you give a “Where Most Needed” gift, your contribution goes to the area of greatest need. Whether it is sustainability projects in Thailand, disaster relief in Madagascar, Bibles for people in Peru, or Food Paks for hungry children in Romania, your gift will bring hope to the children and families in the greatest need.

Your President’s Invitational Hosts

Dave Phillips

Founder and President

As a young man, the devastating poverty Dave witnessed at a children’s hospital in Honduras changed him forever. With a united passion to impact the next generation and help local churches build relationships with poor children in their communities, Dave and his wife, Lynn, founded Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF).

Lynn Phillips

Co-founder and Relationship Development Ambassador

After helping her husband, Dave, establish Children’s Hunger Fund, Lynn took a break from her job as a public teacher to homeschool their four sons. Lynn has always had a heart for children, and her desire to educate the next generation on a biblical response to global poverty led to her role as a Poverty Encounter facilitator. She now serves CHF as a Relationship Development Ambassador.

Michael Richards

Senior Vice President

For over twenty years, Michael has served at Children’s Hunger Fund in a myriad of ways, from overseeing volunteer operations and international logistics and relationship development, to opening the San Antonio and Dallas offices. As Senior Vice President, he is focusing on major donor development, stewardship, ambassador program, executive leadership, and the growth of the Legacy Foundation.

Morgan Owen

Executive Director, Relationship Development

Morgan first came to Children’s Hunger Fund nearly fourteen years ago. Morgan oversees the strategy, management, and execution of CHF’s Communications, Donor Care, Special Events, and Relationship Development teams. In addition to everything she does at Children’s Hunger Fund, Morgan is also a busy mom to her young son, River.

Savannah Nix

Executive Assistant, Office of the President & Relationship Development

With experience working for a number of different non-profit organizations, Savannah joined the Children’s Hunger Fund team in 2018. After relocating to California from Oregon, Savannah was drawn to the mission and vision of CHF. She serves as the Executive Assistant for both the Office of the President and Relationship Development.

Frankie Rodriguez

Coordinator, Digital Media

After participating in a Children’s Hunger Fund food packing event with his church, Frankie & his wife, Taylor, challenged themselves to experience what it would be like to live off a Food Pak for a week. He joined the Children’s Hunger Fund team in 2013 & has served in a variety of roles with volunteers, distribution, graphic design, and digital media.
