Together, we FACE Poverty.
Feed, Aid, Connect, and Equip. It’s an acronym for the 4 ways that you and Children’s Hunger Fund reach out to suffering children and deliver both physical and spiritual hope. In this post, we’ll explain more about the first category: Feed.
Together, we resource local churches around the world, who then deliver food into their own communities. This opens the door to establish a relationship for further help, such as babysitting, rehab, job training, and invitations to Bible studies. Your donations of time, talent, or resources get food into the homes of children in need.
- Food Pak – 20 pounds of food that is the heart of our Relational Mercy Ministry home delivery method
- Malnutrition Pak – protein-enriched meals for the severely malnourished
- Bulk Food – rice, beans, and other products delivered in large quantities for churches and other charities
What it means to FEED:
Deep in rural Ukraine, Anna walked away from her family and the church of her youth to marry at a very young age. They started a family and, while it was a struggle, things were going well. But last year, tragedy struck. Anna’s equally young husband passed away. Estranged from her family, Anna was alone to raise and support her three young children. The community around her was not a help, and her isolation deepened. But one of her neighbors, who is part of a local CHF partner church, began to meet with Anna, bringing her Food Paks for her family. This neighbor introduced Anna to a circle of friends, and soon Anna had a community – a new family at a local church who have come alongside her for mutual support. That’s what FEED creates – physical help through the provision of food and spiritual help from a relationship!
